 Sinotrans Ltd. was incorporated on 20 November 2002 and listed on Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 13 February 2003 with Sinotrans Group as its controlling shareholder. The Group injected into Sinotrans Ltd. its core businesses, superior assets and professional staff in China's fast-growing coastal and other strategic regions, namely Hong Kong, Guangdong, Fujian, Shanghai, Zhejiang, Jiangsu, Hubei, Lianyungang, Chongqing, Jiangxi, Anhui, Shandong, Tianjin and Liaoning. As a flagship of integrated logistics in Sinotrans Group, Sinotrans Ltd. inherited its over fifty-years of experience in logistics and transportation, strong customer base and world-renowned brand. Up to end 2009, Sinotrans Ltd had a staff of 20,937 employees, a total asset of 21.9 billion RMB, and a net asset of 9.4 billion RMB.
Sinotrans Ltd. provides integrated logistics service to our customers including sea, air and road transportation, storage and terminal services, express services, shipping agency and freight forwarding business, mainly operated by our subsidiary companies (inc. holding companies). Sinotrans Limited owns sound and balanced strategic assets, namely self-operated terminals with throughput capacity of 33.50 million tons, 98 self-operated vessels with an aggregate capacity of 353,142 tons, 56 container yards totaling 1,872,650 square meters, 335 warehouses of 1,677,618 square meters, 6 RDCs in Beijing, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Shanghai, Shenyang and Nanjing, 2949 vehicles of 35569 tons and 8 special railway lines.
